ELECTEL
Electel installs and maintains the electrical, fire protection, and ventilation systems that keep large-scale infrastructure alive. The kind of work the public never sees and never thinks about until something goes wrong. We were brought in to document their operations across multiple sites, including extensive coverage inside underground tunnels and technical rooms during active commissioning.
The gallery moves through the work without dressing it up. Red wheels, brass valves, control panels, alarm boxes, the visual vocabulary of safety equipment that has to be unmistakable in an emergency. Tunnel sections lit only by their own service lights. Technicians in hi-vis crawling into spaces built for machines. The contrast between the sheer scale of the infrastructure and the human bodies servicing it is the real subject here. Industry photographed where it actually lives, several floors below the city.
