A working port is one of the few places left where heavy industry happens out in the open. Cranes the size of buildings move boxes the size of houses. Ropes thicker than your arm hold ships against the tide. Everything is rusted, painted, dented, repainted, and somehow still working. We have spent serious time inside these environments, on foot, photographing the machinery, the cargo, and the choreography that keeps a port functioning around the clock.
The gallery moves between the wide and the close. Container stacks reading like flags. A grinder throwing sparks across the frame. Ropes, bollards, chains, hooks, the small details that explain how the big things stay in place. The work is built for corporate communication, editorial use, and the long-term archive of port operations, but the real subject is simpler than that: industry that still looks like industry, photographed without dressing it up.
