A restaurant is not just its menu. The kitchen before service, the pastry chef at 6am, the barista who has pulled the same shot five hundred times and still watches it. These are the images that tell the people who haven't walked in yet what kind of place they are dealing with. Good food service photography documents the operation as much as the product.
