People have been telling me to pick a lane for thirty years. I'm still waiting to find one worth staying in.
I shoot corporate portraits, underwater fashion, real estate, macro, aerial, weddings, newborns, food, and high-speed liquid explosions. Sometimes in the same week. And no, I am not confused. I am just not boring.
The assumption that a photographer who does everything must be mediocre at most of it is the kind of logic that sounds smart until you actually look at the work. I commit to every genre I touch. I study it, test it, obsess over it, then deliver it. If it's something I haven't done before, even better. New problems are interesting. Repetition is not.
Tenerife has a lot to do with this. One of the most visually diverse places on earth, it demands range. A luxury villa in the south on Monday. A live-streamed conference in Santa Cruz on Wednesday. Fashion underwater on Friday. You either adapt or you specialize yourself into irrelevance.
Diptica was built on that principle. Not a one-note studio with a signature filter and a comfort zone. A production company that goes wherever the brief leads and comes back with something worth looking at.
Versatility doesn't dilute craft. It sharpens it.
My identity isn't defined by a niche. It's defined by what happens when I press the shutter. Wherever that is.
