Quinceañera shoots are marathons. You start in the dark and finish at sunset, with multiple looks, multiple locations, and a family running on excitement and adrenaline for the entire day. Patricia's was no different.
We moved through urban settings, gardens, and studios across the day, adapting the light and the mood to each look. Patricia has the kind of presence that makes the camera's job easy. The harder part, as always, was keeping up with it.
The detail worth mentioning: Liliana, my daughter, joined us as a photographer for the first time on a real client shoot. She was sixteen. She shot alongside the team for the full day and several of her images were chosen by Patricia's family as the final selects. Not as a courtesy. Because they were the best frames.
That does not happen every day.
We finished at a wild beach at sunset, the light doing everything we needed it to do without being asked. Patricia ended the day the way she started it. Completely at ease in front of the lens.
Happy 15th, Patricia. It was a good day.
