On September 21st, 2024, we broadcast a live event on YouTube for International Peace Day. The artists were BAHROS (Samson Marzbani) and Mossy Amidi Fard, two performers whose work sits at the intersection of music, visual art, and a genuine belief that both things matter beyond the stage.
The production ran eight (yes, you read it right: 8) cinema cameras simultaneously, covering everything from wide establishing shots to tight close-ups, with a green screen setup for real-time compositing of paintings by artist Sara Malek integrated live into the broadcast. No moment was left to chance and no cut was left to luck.
Live production is a different discipline from any other kind of shooting. There is no second take. The edit happens in real time, in front of an audience that is already watching. Getting it right requires preparation, a solid team, and the ability to make fast decisions quietly.
The full broadcast is below, along with some behind-the-scenes images from the day.
