The Sony PXW-Z200 earned it quickly.

We needed something that sits between our Blackmagic URSA cinema setups and nothing at all. A camera you grab when the job is real but the budget is not. Something fast, reliable, and small enough to take anywhere without building a logistics plan around it.

The Z200 is that camera.

4K HDR, up to 120fps, a 1" stacked sensor that handles difficult light well, a 20x optical zoom that covers everything from wide environmental shots to tight close-ups without touching a lens, and a built-in variable ND filter that earns its keep every single time you shoot outdoors in Tenerife. Add four audio channels, XLR inputs, and native streaming support, and you have a camera that works for corporate interviews, run-and-gun documentary work, behind-the-scenes coverage, and B-roll on the same day without reconfiguring anything.

It is not a cinema camera. It does not pretend to be one. But for the kind of fast, lean, professional work that makes up a large part of what we do, it is exactly what we needed.
